Overview
In this role you will support Morgan Stanley’s UK Financial Institutions Group in London by executing corporate finance and capital markets transactions for European banks, insurers, asset managers and exchanges. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients to deliver strategic advisory and M&A solutions, perform rigorous financial analysis, and prepare client-ready presentations. You’ll mentor junior teammates and contribute to a high-performing, ethical team culture. This is an opportunity to shape complex financial transactions in a global, client‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assist in executing corporate finance transactions (IPO, M&A, strategic advisory)
- Perform financial and strategic analysis and industry research
- Contribute to team discussions and client meetings
- Deliver rapid, accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients
- Prepare and present client materials clearly and persuasively
- Mentor Analysts and promote team culture
- Collaborate with senior bankers across groups
Key requirements
- Top class Master’s degree or overseas equivalent in/related to finance
- Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent
- Familiarity with the FIG sector and landscape
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses
