Overview

In this role you will support high‑value energy and infrastructure projects from a real estate lens, contributing to renewables, energy transition schemes and major infrastructure delivery. You’ll work within a Tier 1 Energy & Infrastructure team in Bristol, collaborating with developers, landowners, investors and public bodies to move complex schemes forward. You will shape real estate documents, lead due diligence, and help manage client relationships in a cross‑disciplinary environment. This opportunity offers exposure to nationally significant projects that advance the UK’s net-zero transition.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on real estate aspects of energy, renewables and infrastructure projects (onshore/offshore wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen, EfW, heat networks, nuclear, EV charging, airports and ports)
  • Draft and negotiate key real estate documents including options, leases and development agreements
  • Lead title, access, land due diligence and site assembly work
  • Support major infrastructure consenting and delivery, including DCO and CPO schemes
  • Collaborate with developers, landowners, investors, funders, public bodies and other stakeholders
  • Work across real estate, planning, construction, corporate, regulatory and finance teams
  • Supervise junior lawyers and contribute to client relationship management

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate
  • Experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure or major development work
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Commercial, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to keep projects moving
  • Curiosity about the energy transition and infrastructure delivery
  • Collaborative mindset and confidence working in multi‑disciplinary teams
