Overview
As a Procurement and Supplier Management Specialist, you enable sourcing of medical products and services for IHS-managed Cath Labs and Operating Theatres across the UK. You collaborate with hospitals, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure product availability, cost efficiency, and strong supplier performance. You’ll analyze procurement data, support account activation, and drive savings initiatives in a patient-focused healthcare setting. This hybrid role combines analytics, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement to sustain supply and optimize operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing and procurement for medical products and services for IHS-managed Cath Labs and Operating Theatres
- Partner with internal stakeholders on account activations, product availability, pricing maintenance, and issue resolution
- Negotiate and monitor supplier pricing to support commercial performance and continuity of supply
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance across managed accounts
- Track, analyze, and present procurement KPIs and savings initiatives to stakeholders
- Engage hospital customers to understand clinical and operational needs and adjust sourcing strategies
- Prepare data analyses, reports, and presentations to support operational and strategic decisions
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Science, Supply Chain, Procurement or another quantitative discipline
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or supplier management within a large organization or hospital environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex data analysis and insights
- Strong English communication skills with experience influencing and negotiating across stakeholders
- Experience preparing business presentations and reports using PowerPoint
- Experience managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and procurement performance metrics
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
