Overview

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic business and IT transformation initiatives. You will partner across underwriting, operations, claims, IT and finance to drive change and align with the organisation’s strategy. You will manage complex, multi-team projects from inception to completion, balancing scope, timelines and budget. You will mitigate risks, report progress, and ensure quality while fostering collaboration with senior stakeholders. This role offers meaningful impact within a dynamic insurance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple high-impact projects across departments or global teams
  • Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives and third parties
  • Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and adjust plans to stay aligned with goals
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead regular project meetings and provide status reports to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Ensure initiative deliverables meet quality standards
  • Develop and execute strategies to assess, manage and mitigate change
  • Foster a collaborative working environment and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, business leads and the full project team
  • Foster effective communication among stakeholders and the project team
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Mentor project managers, share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes

Key requirements

  • Experience delivering large, complex transformation initiatives within an insurance environment
  • Working knowledge of the London Insurance Market is highly desirable
  • Experience operating in both agile and waterfall environments
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple project teams across disciplines
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion within time, scope and budget
