Overview

In this role you will own the digital tagging and tracking framework, aligning it with business objectives and marketing goals. You will lead a team of tagging specialists and ensure data governance and quality across the organisation’s analytics. You will translate complex business needs into a concrete data strategy that drives data-driven decisions, working with senior leaders and product teams. You will shape the architecture and long-term roadmap for tagging initiatives and manage external partners. This is a strategic, hands-on chance to impact analytics at scale within a data-driven company.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the digital tagging and tracking strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead, mentor and manage the tagging specialists team
  • Establish data governance standards ensuring quality and privacy compliance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing directors, and product teams to translate requirements into insights
  • Design and maintain tagging system architecture and long-term tracking roadmap
  • Manage relationships with external analytics and tag management tool vendors

Key requirements

  • Proven experience with Tag Management Systems (TMS), especially Google Tag Manager (GTM) including server-side GTM
  • Knowledge of GA4 and Quantum Metric with advanced configurations and reporting
  • Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js foundations
  • Experience with data warehousing, APIs, and data modelling (e.g., BigQuery)
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for data and implementation issues
  • Experience leading technical teams and translating business goals into strategy
