Digital Manufacturing Designer I

Overview

As a Digital Manufacturing Designer I, you will generate Injection Moulding quotes and develop tool designs for prototyping and production. You’ll bridge Go-to-Market and Operations to support customers through the full product lifecycle, from concept to production. You’ll assess part geometry and manufacturability to propose tailored solutions and tooling. Responsibilities

• Generate detailed tooling and secondary-operation quotes and coordinate with suppliers
• Provide expert CAD recommendations to improve manufacturability and communicate benefits to customers
• Collaborate with internal teams to answer process, material, or injection moulding questions
• Develop gate/ejector layouts and perform Mouldflow analyses for production feasibility
• Create injection mould designs from customer 3D models (pre-design checks, Core/Cavity, Toolpaths, Layout, QC)
• Produce CNC tool instructions from designs
• Develop CMM/CTQ programs and ISOWs per customer specs
• Maintain quality and safety standards and support continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Associate degree in CAD, Drafting, or Design, or similar preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, or similar preferred
• Mathematical aptitude
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn advanced proprietary graphical software
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in mathematics
