Overview
In this role you will take ownership of civil engineering projects from planning to detailed design within a growing London consultancy. You will deliver drainage design, FRAs and drainage strategies, and develop site infrastructure with limited supervision. The position emphasizes independent project delivery, client liaison, and contributing to a varied portfolio of development schemes. Responsibilities
- Independently model and design drainage using InfoDrainage
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- Produce civil calculations, designs and drawings
- Design below-ground drainage, external works and earthworks
- Develop levels, earthworks and wider site infrastructure
- Liaise with clients, project teams, Local Authorities, LLFAs and statutory authorities
- Manage own projects, workload and technical deliverables
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of work
Key requirements
- Strong UK civil engineering consultancy experience
- Excellent working knowledge of InfoDrainage
- Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- Strong drainage, external works and earthworks experience
- Experience producing calculations, designs and technical drawings
- Good understanding of the development planning and design process
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to take ownership and deliver projects with limited supervision
