Overview
As a Senior PCB Designer, you will lead the design and layout of complex multi-layer PCBs for cryptographic and key management solutions. You will collaborate across electronics, mechanical, and production teams to ensure robust, high-reliability boards for aerospace and security-related applications. You’ll work on high-density, RF, analog and power designs, applying security, EMC and TEMPEST considerations. This role offers impact on critical programs and involves continuous tool and process improvements. You will contribute to bids and design reviews, shaping the technical direction of secure hardware.

Responsibilities
- Design and layout of complex multi-layer PCBs (4-20 layers), including rigid, semi-rigid and flex-rigid configurations
- Create layouts for analogue, RF, digital, power, high-speed and high-reliability circuits (DO-254 where required)
- Apply security, EMC and TEMPEST design rules
- Incorporate DFT features and test points with Production Test
- Collaborate with electronic, mechanical, procurement and supply chain teams
- Coordinate with PCB fabricators and assembly houses to meet DRC, DFM and DFT requirements
- Maintain and administer CAD libraries (symbols, footprints, databases)
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to bids, proposals and technical estimates
- Continuously improve tools, processes and PCB design best practices
Key requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
- Proven experience designing complex, high-density PCBs
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards, routing guidelines and modern PCB design tools
- Experience with DFM/DFT implementation and supplier reviews
- Track record delivering multi-layer, high-speed, RF, analogue and power designs
