Overview
In this role you will lead the Fund’s day-to-day financial operations within a large public-sector pension service. You’ll work closely with a broad network of external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and strong financial controls. You will own the production of annual and year-end statements and manage key accounting processes in a complex environment. This is a chance to shape financial governance for Lancashire’s Pension Fund and contribute to a stable, long-term transformation of local government services.

Responsibilities
- Monthly and quarterly posting of Oracle journals
- Regular reconciliation of Fund income and expenditure
- Produce budget monitoring reports and analyse variances
- Lead the production and publication of the Statement of Accounts
- Maintain Fund Oracle chart of accounts
- Produce cash flow statements
- Respond to external queries independently
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA or equivalent)
- At least 2 years’ experience as an accountant
- Experience using accounting and finance systems
- Experience with Microsoft tools, including Excel with formulas
