Senior Sustainability Consultant

Overview

In this role you will lead sustainability projects and building certification work for high-profile clients in the UK and overseas. You will provide high‑level technical advisory across sustainability issues and supervise certification processes, collaborating with signature architects. As a BREEAM Accredited professional, you will shape strategies, coordinate delivery, and support blue‑chip customers. The position blends client engagement with technical leadership in a renowned consultancy environment, offering impact on prestigious buildings.

Responsibilities

• lead sustainability projects and building certification consultancy for blue‑chip clients
• manage delivery of certification assessments and strategies
• provide high‑level technical advisory on sustainability issues
• work with client teams and architects to achieve certification goals
• maintain BREEAM accreditation and stay updated on certification standards
• coordinate across UK and overseas engagements
• contribute to proposals and project governance
• support development of sustainability strategies and reporting

Key requirements

• BREEAM Accredited professional
• honours degree or higher (field not specified)
• considerable consultancy experience in sustainability
• experience delivering projects in a consultancy environment
• knowledge of other certification schemes (LEED, Estidama, SKA, HQM, GSAS) beneficial
