Overview

In this role you drive multi-discipline building services projects, leading both your discipline and the overall project team. You will apply a multidisciplinary approach within an MEP context to deliver designs that meet client needs, supervise detailed design delivery, and lead feasibility studies. You’ll work from Bristol or Cardiff offices, collaborating with cross-functional teams on landmark projects within a global engineering firm. Responsibilities

  • Lead projects for your discipline and the overall project team; demonstrate personal input that contributed to winning or delivering commissions.
  • Provide design and technical advice in a joint leadership role within the MEP discipline team.
  • Work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects of the discipline.
  • Interpret client needs and align project delivery to those requirements.
  • Supervise completion of detailed designs and supervise others in this function.
  • Lead feasibility studies and assess project feasibility from a discipline perspective.
  • Direct production of detailed and performance specifications with peer review prior to issue.
  • Review design programmes and ensure adequate resources are available to complete works.

Key requirements

  • Understanding of UK and European regulations relevant to the discipline and how to apply them in project execution.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design software for allocation/direction of work.
  • Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D design software for project direction.
  • Strong ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for project direction.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
