Engineering Project Manager, UK field Engineering Team

Overview

In this role, you will lead mission-critical engineering and facilities initiatives across Amazon Logistics delivery stations. You will drive large-scale transformation from concept to completion, including site launches and facility improvements. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver on time, budget, and quality while simplifying processes to remove bottlenecks. This is a chance to shape the network’s infrastructure and influence how we scale customer-centric operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering-solutions projects in the UK/IE AMZL network, including deployments and upgrades
• Lead greenfield launches, MHE re-layouts, retrofits of automated solutions, and building improvements
• Oversee full project lifecycle: ordering, layout validation, vendor coordination, installation, SAT, and handover
• Collaborate with functions to provide trade-off solutions and ensure alignment with guidelines
• Validate designs and requirements, providing timely feedback to fix deficiencies and keep schedules
• Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvements with relevant teams

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Planning, scheduling and auditing maintenance activities
• Experience with CMMS software
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
• Technical leadership in large-scale, complex technology projects
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, transportation, and distribution center operations
• Experience with third-party vendors and end-to-end project management
