Overview
As Finance Manager at Quantexa, you will safeguard and optimise revenue performance for a global SaaS business, acting as a trusted partner to sales, delivery, and operations. You’ll own revenue recognition (IFRS 15) and gross margin integrity, driving actionable insights to influence deal structuring and project performance. This high-impact role combines global scale with evolving revenue models, and a focus on automation and continuous improvement of financial processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision‑making and compliance, contributing to the company’s growth mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional month-end close with emphasis on revenue recognition (IFRS 15/GAAP), project cost validation, and gross margin reporting
- Own transactional accuracy across revenue, cost of sales, project setup, contract amendments, and change orders
- Prepare and reconcile deferred and accrued revenue schedules with supporting documentation
- Deliver insights on trends, risks, and opportunities to optimise project profitability and revenue performance
- Partner with Sales, Delivery, Operations, and Legal to understand commercial activity and drivers impacting financial results
- Support global audit and compliance with timely reconciliations and documentation for auditors
- Drive process improvements and automation across reporting, data capture, and financial processes (e.g., NetSuite and Salesforce integrations)
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new financial processes aligned with global best practices
- Support ad hoc commercial analysis and business projects to inform decision-making across the organization
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Significant experience in a relevant accounting role with a focus on revenue recognition in a commercial environment
- Demonstrated experience applying IFRS 15 (US GAAP experience is advantageous)
- Experience reviewing and assessing customer contracts, multi-element arrangements, deferred revenue, and contract modifications
- Experience as a Finance Business Partner supporting deal structuring, pricing, and revenue treatment decisions
- Strong understanding of SaaS/subscription-based revenue models (highly desirable)
- Experience automating and improving processes through systemisation and controls
- Experience building and preparing reporting packs using a reporting tool
