Landscape Architect

Overview

As a Landscape Architect at AECOM, you will lead the design and delivery of landscape projects across diverse sectors, from urban regeneration to environmental enhancement. You’ll work within the UK&I Landscape Architecture team to translate client ambitions into innovative, sustainable solutions that support net-zero goals. The role combines design excellence with multidisciplinary collaboration and opportunities to influence project outcomes. You will grow professionally through training, LI examination, and engagement with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and delivery for landscape projects across stages from feasibility to construction information
• Contribute to meetings and workshops, presenting design concepts and representing AECOM’s design vision
• Support leads with project management, including financial and programme management
• Foster team growth and knowledge sharing, pursuing UKLI professional exam
• Assist with client engagement, stakeholders, and business development
• Ensure technical excellence through reports, drawings, and documentation with appropriate software
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
• Support contract administration to ensure high-quality project delivery
• Produce or oversee reports, drawings, and technical documentation

Key requirements

• Two+ years post-qualification experience; actively pursuing Chartered Member of LI (CMLI)
• Experience in designing public realm schemes and complex multidisciplinary projects
• Knowledge of the UK planning system
• Knowledge of project management including financial control, reporting, and programme management

• Strong communication skills (written and spoken English)
