Management Accountant

Overview

As a finance professional you will support the production of accurate management accounts and financial reporting for the Group’s divisional portfolio. You will work closely with divisional finance teams and other Group functions to review controls, streamline processes, and prepare data for audits and year-end reporting. The role emphasizes continuous process improvement, strong attention to detail, and reliable delivery in a high-volume environment. You will contribute to cross-functional projects and help maintain robust procedure notes, enabling timely and high-quality financial information.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of management accounts to high quality and on schedule
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns
• Build and maintain relationships with divisional finance teams and Group functions
• Assist in compiling data for external/internal audits and year-end reporting, identifying efficiencies
• Review and implement improvements to finance processes and controls
• Maintain up-to-date procedure notes for responsibilities
• Participate in key Finance and Group projects
• May perform other duties to ensure smooth business operations

Key requirements

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA finalist or part-qualified
• Experience of accounting processes in a large/high volume organisation
• Strong customer service mindset within the finance function
• Ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a pressurised environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of influencing outside of own team
