Overview

You will join Deloitte’s multidisciplinary Data Science and Machine Learning team to drive innovation for Defence & Security clients. You apply advanced DS/ML/AI techniques to solve real-world problems, develop new solutions, and guide projects from prototype to live services. You shape propositions, contribute to practice development, and deepen sector understanding, delivering high-impact outcomes in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science, ML and AI techniques to solve complex problems in Defence & Security
• Develop innovative solutions with real-world impact
• Pioneer implementation of new techniques and technologies
• Participate in full lifecycle from requirements to scaling live services
• Ensure high-quality delivery of projects
• Shape new propositions and support bidding
• Support continual learning and development within the team
• Develop deep understanding of Defence & Security context for AI solutions

Key requirements

• Hands-on data science or machine learning experience in Defence/Security, public sector, or academia
• Understanding of ML architectures and models (Transformers, CNNs, Generative AI) and their applicability
• Strong communication skills for reports and presentations to diverse audiences
• Building productive relationships with colleagues and clients
• Evidence of contribution to practice development, mentoring, and bid work
