Commercial Contracts Solicitor

Overview

In this Leeds-based role, you will handle a broad range of commercial matters for a diverse client base, from SMEs to national and international brands. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts across supply, purchase, distribution, outsourcing, media and technology areas, while taking increasing responsibility for strategic projects. You’ll work with a thriving commercial team to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice and develop client relationships. The role offers meaningful client contact, growth opportunities, and a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (supply, purchase, distribution)
• Advise on outsourcing arrangements, media and marketing contracts and technology agreements
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance to clients
• Take increasing responsibility for strategic projects
• Develop and nurture client relationships; mentor junior colleagues

Key requirements

• 3-5 years’ PQE in commercial law
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
• Commercially focused and proactive; confident providing pragmatic advice
• Desire to develop client relationships and mentor juniors
• IT-related experience such as SaaS agreements, software licensing and systems integration (desirable)
