BIM Manager

Overview

In this BIM / Digital Manager role, you will lead Revit and CAD workloads across a UK-wide MEP design consultancy. You’ll guide BIM coordination, set standards, and drive the digital transformation roadmap with cross-functional teams. The position focuses on optimizing BIM processes, forecasting workloads, and reporting utilization to the board, while collaborating with UK and international offices. You’ll empower a multi-discipline MEP team to deliver high-quality modelling and documentation on varied projects. This is a strategic, impact-driven opportunity to shape BIM delivery in a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM and CAD teams across the business and ensure high-quality delivery on design projects
• Coordinate BIM across engineering and BIM departments and maintain standards
• Communicate BIM strategy and aspirations across departments
• Oversee external and internal BIM services for customers and ensure alignment with standards
• Improve processes and efficiency in line with the digital transformation roadmap
• Coordinate with UK and Philippines teams on BIM activities
• Manage deliverables from 3rd-party outsourcing partners
• Oversee daily BIM modelling activities for internal/external requirements
• Develop core documentation (EIR, BEP, RACI, TIDP) and resolve BIM issues
• Troubleshoot and coordinate teams; represent the business in meetings
• Lead on clash detection processes, reporting, and resolution

Key requirements

• 5+ years in BIM and modelling activities (3D, 4D, 5D) in a mainstream UK MEP design consultancy
• proven track record in leading high-performing teams
• high competency in BIM software through ongoing use and training
• strong experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM360 (Collaborate Pro)
• experience in BIM coordination and collaboration across engineering and BIM departments
• ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders across offices (UK and international)
• experience managing deliverables from 3rd-party outsourcing partners
• thorough understanding of BIM formats (rvt, dwg, xml, ifc) and data flows between departments
