Overview

In this role you support growth and delivery of a specialist credit, bond and political risk portfolio within a market-leading team. You will work with senior brokers and cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality client service, support treaty placements and renewals, and deepen technical knowledge and market relationships. The role focuses on managing client relationships, risk analysis, and end-to-end placement processes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, including meeting prep, queries, and coordinating actions across internal teams
  • Assist with risk analysis and placement strategy across credit, bond, political risk, and related lines
  • Support end-to-end treaty renewal and new business placement processes, including submissions, market outreach, quotes tracking, and negotiations
  • Prepare and review placement documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with analytics, operations, compliance, and claims to ensure smooth placements
  • Support business development via market research, pipeline support, RFPs/tenders, and client materials
  • Monitor market conditions and share insights to inform client discussions and placement outcomes
  • Uphold professionalism, ethics and operational excellence using MMC systems and tools

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in insurance/reinsurance broking or underwriting with exposure to credit, surety, bond and/or political risk
  • Working knowledge of treaty reinsurance processes including renewals, placements and supporting documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Clear communication and relationship-building with clients, reinsurers and internal teams
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset and ownership of defined workstreams
  • CII qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) are preferred
  • Strong execution skills and pride in high-quality delivery
  • Curiosity and commitment to developing specialist knowledge in credit and political risk markets
