Overview

In this role you drive project financial health by applying cost data, forecasting, and earned value practices within a global infrastructure team. You’ll work closely with project management and finance to track budgets, schedules, and progress, using project baselines to steer decisions. The role supports senior staff and may lead junior team members while ensuring alignment of spending with funding and contracts. This position offers exposure to large-scale projects and the chance to influence outcomes across transportation, buildings, water, and energy domains.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data to identify key project issues
  • Maintain cost baselines and assist with cost/schedule integration
  • Prepare revised cost forecasts and progress/cost trend analyses
  • Track invoices, expenditures, and subcontractor funding
  • Support earned value monitoring and variance analysis
  • Prepare project reports and contribute to cost review meetings
  • Assist in development and implementation of procedures
  • Support change management and baseline budgeting activities

Key requirements

  • Engineering background (advantageous)
  • Proactive mindset
  • Confident in leading meetings and supporting a Project Manager
  • Experience with integrated project schedules (MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Defined WBS, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths
  • Forecasting resource demand and aligning with delivery teams
  • Identified schedule risks and mitigations
  • Generated progress dashboards and executive summaries
