Overview

In this role, you will support the delivery of major gas infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning. You work within the Major Projects Team to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget execution across interfaces and disciplines. You will propagate SGN’s safety culture and contribute to schedules, documentation, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivery of major projects across the lifecycle
  • Manage project scope, programme, cost and risk
  • Coordinate interfaces between engineering, contractors and stakeholders
  • Support procurement, contractor management and construction delivery
  • Monitor construction and commissioning for compliance
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and reports
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery
  • Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned
  • Use engineering and project management systems to manage information

Key requirements

  • Recognised engineering qualification and experience in engineering, construction, utilities, energy, industrial or process environment
  • Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience delivering or supporting engineering and construction projects
  • Understanding of project delivery principles: scope, programme, cost, risk
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial or infra environments
  • Ability to read technical docs, drawings and specs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with engineering and project management software
  • Full UK driving licence
