Overview

As a Senior Project Manager in AECOM’s Infrastructure Project Management team, you will oversee capital water projects across the FRAM programme, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from inception to commissioning. You’ll work on client-side delivery, governance, and contract management, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff, shaping delivery by leveraging NEC contracts and robust stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary capital water projects within collaborative teams
  • Provide client-side project management across lifecycle stages from option studies to on-site delivery
  • Establish governance, roles, and accountabilities aligned with practice
  • Manage client/stakeholder engagement, HS&W, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management
  • Mentor Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices
  • Coordinate resources and subcontractors, including off-site teams
  • Support business development and bid submissions
  • Maintain strong client relationships and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee procurement and NEC contract administration
  • Manage project performance to meet quality, cost, and time targets

Key requirements

  • Infrastructure project management experience (Water industry desirable)
  • Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts; NEC ECC Accredited preferable
  • Experience in integrated, multi-organisation teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently and with Senior PMs/Associates
  • Team player with flexible, professional attitude
  • Good IT skills and ability to use digital tools
  • Experience in bid submissions and client relationship management
