Overview

In this role you help private clients achieve long-term financial objectives through comprehensive planning. You will collaborate with the Head of Financial Planning and Investment Managers to deliver tailored advice across retirement, tax, and estate considerations, shaping a cohesive client proposition. You’ll build trusted client and intermediary relationships while acting as a technical resource for the team, ensuring high-quality planning and regulatory alignment. This established wealth management environment offers development and cross-functional exposure in Leeds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning advice across retirement, tax and estate planning areas
  • Understand each client’s circumstances and objectives to tailor recommendations
  • Construct and deliver tailored financial planning recommendations
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, intermediaries and internal stakeholders
  • Act as a technical advisor and support the wider business with knowledge
  • Collaborate with Investment Managers to deliver a joined-up client proposition
  • Respond to client and technical queries via phone, email, and meetings
  • Support ad-hoc client requirements and team activity
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and develop colleagues
  • Identify and escalate risks that could affect clients or the firm’s reputation
  • Ensure all advice and activity complies with regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty

Key requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of financial services, FCA requirements and a broad range of financial products
  • Experience in a financial planning or wealth management environment
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to assess complex financial information
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage workload, work independently and use initiative
