Overview
As a Reporting Accountant, you will support statutory and regulatory reporting across a complex multi-entity environment, aligning financial statements, Group reporting, and external audit processes with IFRS, LUXGAAP and Solvency II. You’ll work closely with finance and actuarial functions to deliver accurate disclosures and strengthen controls. This role offers exposure to SFCR, QRTs and differing regimes, contributing to regulatory compliance and high-quality financial reporting. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in reporting processes and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements, interim filings and regulatory reporting (SFCR and Non-Actuarial QRTs)
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, LUXGAAP and Solvency II requirements
- Assist financial close activities including reconciliations, journals, accruals and disclosures
- Prepare and support technical accounting papers for significant transactions and judgements
- Assist with Group reporting, consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
- Support external audit process and timely delivery of information
- Contribute to strengthening financial controls and process improvements in reporting
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
- Experience in statutory and/or regulatory reporting, ideally in insurance
- Strong knowledge of LUXGAAP; experience preparing or reviewing statutory statements
- Experience with EU regulatory reporting (SFCR and QRTs)
- Good understanding of life insurance accounting and Finance/Actuarial interface
- Experience with or understanding of IFRS 17, Solvency II, Group consolidation and multi-entity reporting
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
