As Senior Risk Manager, you will lead strategic risk management for large-scale mobility infrastructure programmes, partnering with clients and delivery teams to shape risk governance and assurance frameworks. You will drive quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, support PMO integration, and mentor the growing risk capability. Your work will influence major aviation, rail, highways and ports projects, helping clients navigate uncertainty and maximise opportunities. Responsibilities
- Direct risk management activities across major infrastructure programmes and projects
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, governance and assurance strategies
- Facilitate risk and opportunity workshops with clients, consultants, and delivery teams
- Deliver qualitative and quantitative risk analysis (schedule and cost risk assessments)
- Support project teams in identifying mitigation strategies and opportunities
- Produce insightful risk reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Ensure risk mitigation plans are actively managed and embedded in delivery plans
- Build strong client relationships and act as trusted risk advisor
- Manage and mentor risk professionals and contribute to capability development
- Collaborate with PMO, planning and project controls to integrate risk management into delivery processes
- Contribute to business development activities, bids and winning work opportunities
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading risk management on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, governance and assurance frameworks
- Experience conducting and interpreting quantitative risk analysis
- Expertise with ARM, RiskHive, Primavera Risk Analysis or similar tools
- Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders and clients
- Experience facilitating workshops and communicating complex risk to non-technical audiences
- Strong leadership with mentoring or managing others
- Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach
- Experience across rail, highways, aviation, ports or other major infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of Power BI, data analytics and reporting tools
- Experience in both consultancy and client-side environments
- Professional membership with APM or IRM
- A relevant degree in engineering, project management, risk management or related discipline
