Overview
In this HR Advisor role, you provide proactive HR guidance to managers and employees across the UK. You ensure compliant handling of employee relations, policies, and performance processes within the HR function. You’ll support the employee lifecycle, change initiatives, and data-driven insights to improve people outcomes. You work closely with leaders to foster a positive, high-performing culture and effective risk management. This position offers an opportunity to shape people practices in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR advice to managers and employees on people-related matters
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and flexible working matters
- Support investigations, hearings, and consultation processes under policy and UK law
- Coach managers on people management best practices and risk mitigation
- Support the employee lifecycle (onboarding, probation, contractual changes, offboarding)
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records in compliance with UK legislation and GDPR
- Assist with performance management and employee development processes
- Support organisational change initiatives such as restructures and transformation
- Produce HR reports and provide insights on people-related trends
Key requirements
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing employee relations cases independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
