Senior MEP Cost Manager – Real Estate

Overview

In this role you will lead MEP cost management for complex projects in the London Real Estate team. You will develop cost plans, support design objectives, and manage tendering and post-contract reporting, while guiding junior cost professionals. The position requires managing multiple projects and strong collaboration with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Responsibilities

• Support feasibility studies and procurement reporting
• Produce estimates and cost plans for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage tendering and procurement activities (single-stage and two-stage)
• Oversee post-contract cost variations and change control
• Undertake cost checks and valuations with timely reporting
• Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation
• Lead cost management teams where appropriate and support project objectives

Key requirements

• Proven track record delivering cost management/quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle
• RICS qualification or similar, or working towards
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience delivering MEP elements for clients
• Knowledge of MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below)
• Experience using digital software for cost management
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills both client-facing and within teams
