Overview
As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead financial strategy, planning and reporting to guide the company’s financial health and growth. You will partner with the CEO and the executive team to shape financial operations, governance, and long-term value creation. You will manage cash, FP&A, audits and compliance while overseeing a small finance team and key banking relationships. You will support valuation efforts and liaise with potential buyers and PE backers to maximise value. This confidential role offers strategic impact in a high-stakes, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to the CEO and private equity investors
- Support financial planning and analysis efforts
- Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
- Manage relationships with banks
- Manage a small team of financial staff
- Assist the CEO and PE backers in valuation maximisation and liaising with potential buyers
Key requirements
- Strong finance-based analytical skills
- Minimum of 15 years of finance experience including in PE-backed companies
- CFO experience in a software company that has made a successful exit
- Experience as CFO in a company in the 200-500 person range
