Overview
In this role you lead a regional Wound Care business, driving growth through strategic plans, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. You partner with Healthcare and Clinical Managers to deliver value-based solutions to NHS and provider customers, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. You will develop market access initiatives, coach a high-performing team, and use data to sharpen sales execution and patient-focused outcomes. This is a chance to shape regional strategy and contribute to sustainable, patient-centered healthcare improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the regional team to meet sales targets and align with the company plan
- Recruit, develop and coach Territory Sales Managers; conduct regular field visits and performance reviews
- Develop strategic and tactical regional plans; allocate resources to achieve short- and long-term goals
- Ensure compliance with SDMA, ABHI, MedTech and relevant regulations; promote ethical promotion practices
- Build expert product, clinical, and therapeutic knowledge to support coaching and decision-making
- Collaborate with Healthcare Partnership Managers to create strategic account plans and integrated customer solutions
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, and KPI performance; manage promotions and expenditures
- Implement and champion Salesforce CRM and the 7 Steps Selling Model for sales effectiveness
- Develop market access plans and advocate networks with NHS partners; inform customer strategies
- Maintain formulary and data privacy compliance; drive market intelligence and data-driven improvements
- Promote cross-functional collaboration within Wound Care and wider UK team
- Plan and deliver regular team meetings and incentives aligned with KPIs
- Ensure field presence and coaching through structured field visits (min ~6/month)
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or business (preferred)
- Sales management experience in Medical Devices (3+ years)
- Experience as a Field Trainer/Coach
- Market access engagement experience
- Advocate development and management experience
- Evidence of career progression and personal development
- Full driving licence
- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft 365 apps and CRM (Salesforce)
- ABPI qualification (desirable)
- Regional sales/leadership experience (5+ years)
- Experience in NHS multichannel market (desirable)
