Senior Accountant (Insurance)

Overview

In this role you will support day-to-day finance operations and deliver financial reporting across multiple regions. You will work closely with the Finance Director to maintain accurate ledgers, perform month-end tasks, and drive improvements in finance processes. The position offers flexible hours (full-time or 3 days/week) in a renowned international horse breeding business with a focus on growth and development. You’ll contribute to strategic financial management within the equine sector and gain exposure to multi-region P&L and stock valuations.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day finance operations
• Produce financial & management reporting
• Prepare P&L for multiple regions
• Oversee AP/AR processes
• Handle purchase/sales ledgers, invoicing, bank reconciliations, payroll journals & expenses
• Assist with year-end accounts preparation
• Conduct monthly stock valuations
• VAT
• Finance process improvement
• Participate in ad hoc projects

Key requirements

• Industry experience in Equine/Horse Breeding/Horse Racing or strong passion/knowledge of the sector
• Proven accounting experience
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE preferred

• Month-end close
