Overview

As an Interaction Designer at Netcompany, you will shape digital products and services for UK public sector and major private clients, aligning designs with GDS standards and GOV.UK guidelines. You will collaborate across user research, design, and development to deliver user-centred solutions that drive business impact. You’ll lead workshops, prototype rapidly, and mentor peers, contributing to transformative public-sector projects. Responsibilities

  • Deliver in the UK public sector and meet GDS standards, including passing Service Standard Assessments
  • Support end-to-end design of new digital products and services
  • Create high-quality design artefacts (personas, service maps, wireframes)
  • Lead design workshops and design sprints with team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with user researchers to base designs on evidence of user need
  • Rapidly design and test digital prototypes with users
  • Train and mentor other designers

Key requirements

  • Experience delivering in the UK public sector using GOV.UK design system and GDS standards; able to pass Service Standard Assessments
  • Strong user-centred design experience from concept to delivery
  • Experience in rapid paper and digital prototyping; collaborate with developers; understand security, accessibility, version control, hosting
  • Experience in Agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams; delivering new services in large, complex transformations
