Overview
In this role you join a national employment team to handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work. You will manage a varied caseload, advise on HR issues, draft contracts and policies, and support corporate transactions with due diligence. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of employment matters, including tribunal litigation and advocacy preparation
- Advise employer clients on HR issues such as disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes
- Draft contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements
- Support corporate transactions with employment-related due diligence
- Advise on employment-related data protection matters
- Collaborate with clients across sectors (retail, charity, developer, energy, infrastructure)
- Support business development activities, seminars and networking
- Maintain high professional standards and compliance
Key requirements
- 4+ years’ PQE in employment law
- A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing tribunal matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
- Interest in business development and contributing to team growth
