Overview

In this role you will support the Quality and Assurance Manager to uphold the project’s quality standards on the Lower Thames Crossing. You’ll work with the site team to implement the project-specific Quality Plan, ensure compliance, and drive Right First Time outcomes. The role combines field QA/QC checks with audits and documentation to sustain high-quality construction across a major UK infrastructure program. This is a chance to contribute to a flagship tunnel project with a collaborative, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

  • Support Monthly Quality Meeting and NCR Close-Out activities
  • Assist in developing the Quality Management System
  • Support the Lead Auditor during quality audits
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and site team for QA/QC implementation
  • Ensure ITPs and Method Statements are properly documented and followed
  • Review Material Approval Forms before client issue
  • Maintain up-to-date quality requirements for work methods/procedures
  • Identify and resolve QA/QC issues on site
  • Raise non-conformities and track timely close-out
  • Monitor Third Party Inspections and review reports
  • Maintain construction quality performance data
  • Comply with BMJV Document Control process

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience or equivalent in construction with field and engineering responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19011
  • Knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, installation procedures, and tolerances
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer-focused, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
