Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert

Overview

As an MES Expert, you will maintain, support and enhance the MES at the manufacturing site to ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and IT to drive process optimization and ensure compliance with change control and audit requirements. You will lead MES upgrades, integrations with ERP, and future development initiatives to enable data-driven manufacturing. This role offers the chance to shape MES architecture and elevate manufacturing performance in a high-tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site’s MES technical expert (PROMIS)
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot MES for high availability
• Integrate MES with ERP and other manufacturing systems
• Maintain disaster recovery and support system upgrades
• Improve manufacturing processes via MES enhancements, automation and data integrity
• Develop SOPs, documentation and best practices
• Train users and provide ongoing technical support
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, change control and audits
• Evaluate new MES technologies and contribute to future system architecture and implementation

Key requirements

• Semiconductor manufacturing experience
• Extensive MES implementation, configuration and support experience (PROMIS, Siemens Opcenter, Camstar or similar)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows
• Experience with scripting/automation (DCL)
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
