Business Development Manager

Overview

In this field-based role you will drive sales and profitability by educating and managing relationships with Trade Distribution customers across South East England. You’ll collaborate with regional teams to grow market share, meet margins, and leverage CRM for performance insights. You’ll develop strategies aligned with targets and participate in ongoing personal development. This is an opportunity to shape distribution partnerships and contribute to Sika’s growth in the construction and roofing sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional sales and margin performance against budgets
• Develop and execute strategies to hit company targets
• Grow market share within the Trade Distribution Market
• Manage relationships with distributors, professional end users and applicators
• Collaborate with Target Market colleagues and internal teams to shape product/service offerings
• Utilise CRM to measure success and inform strategy
• Support personal and professional development through training

Key requirements

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to manage a territory and identify growth opportunities
• Commercial awareness and motivation to grow sales and margins
• Confident presenter and collaborator with internal teams
• Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented approach
• IT literacy; proficiency with Microsoft software; CRM experience desirable
• Valid UK driving licence
• Previous field sales or account management experience (preferred)
• Based in or near the assigned area
• Transferable skills from B2B sales, trade distribution or related roles
