Financial Controller

Overview

As Financial Controller, you will oversee finance operations and support the management team in Central London. You will lead a small finance team, ensure accurate reporting and compliance under UK GAAP, and drive process improvements and strong controls. You will manage month-end close, tax matters, and external audit relationships, presenting insights to senior leadership. This role offers a collaborative, inclusive culture with impact on the wider business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of three finance professionals
• Oversee timely financial information under UK GAAP and policies
• Manage month-end close and reconciliations
• Oversee corporate tax, VAT, compliance and reporting
• Present financial findings to senior leadership
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
• Act as primary contact for external audit and manage relationships with external stakeholders

Key requirements

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and corporate tax
• Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing a team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator with ability to influence stakeholders across the business
