Overview

In this role you drive the delivery of major construction packages, ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget targets are met. You collaborate with clients, designers and delivery teams to develop robust short-, mid-, and long-term plans, while promoting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture. You help advance net-zero ambitions through coordinated cross-functional work and ethical, compliant project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior construction leadership by planning short-term works and coordinating trade contractors with emphasis on safety, wellbeing and quality
  • Manage lookahead planning and provide technical guidance while maintaining strong relationships with clients, designers and delivery teams
  • Drive continuous improvement, digital adoption and responsible business priorities
  • Collaborate across teams to meet programme goals and advance net-zero ambitions
  • Ensure exceptional safety, quality, sustainability and compliance standards
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders and translate project vision into deliverables
  • Ensure ethical, compliant and financially responsible project delivery and contribute to long-term business strategy
  • Develop teams, share best practice and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
  • Possess ability to write informative reports and manage multiple stakeholders under pressure
  • Collaborate with other managers to effectively manage site operations and take accountability to deliver excellence

Key requirements

  • Experience in construction sequencing, recovery planning and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and post holder obligations
  • Proven delivery of projects and ability to write concise reports
  • Strong leadership to motivate contract partners and foster trust
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
  • SMSTS or IOSH qualification
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders
