Assistant Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you support the Group Finance function across reporting, compliance and planning for a multi-site organisation. You will work closely with the finance team to deliver accurate management information and ensure robust financial controls. You’ll drive process improvements and assist in governance, audits, and statutory reporting. Responsibilities

• Review monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Deliver financial analysis, reporting and performance insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation and support external audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist in driving finance process improvements and automation initiatives
• Mentor and support junior finance team members

Key requirements

• ACCA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience
• Strong financial and management accounting background
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience within a multi-site or group environment is advantageous
