Senior Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of major construction schemes for high-profile projects, coordinating clients, design teams, contractors and leadership to meet safety, schedule and budget targets. You’ll operate within a supportive consultancy environment, guiding projects from inception through completion and mentoring junior staff. You will shape project delivery through clear communication, robust reporting, and strong governance. Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large construction projects across varied sectors
• Oversee projects from pre-construction planning to practical completion
• Mentor and develop junior project staff
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and stakeholders
• Produce high-quality reports and project documentation for management and clients
• Manage contract administration duties (JCT, NEC or similar forms)
• Ensure delivery aligns with programme, quality, and budget targets

Key requirements

• 8-10+ years in construction project management
• Degree in a construction-related discipline; chartered status desirable
• Proven track record leading high-value schemes from concept to completion
• Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing
• Experience in contract administration with JCT/NEC familiarity
• Proficiency with project planning tools (MS Project or similar)
• Strong leadership and decision-making to influence outcomes
