Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will manage commercial and financial aspects across multi-disciplinary projects for a varied client base. You contribute to the full project lifecycle, from early involvement to handover, ensuring viability, compliance, and quality. You work with delivery teams to optimize value and manage risks, while fostering strong client relationships and guiding junior staff. Responsibilities

• Maintain robust cost management processes with timely reports and analysis for commercial decisions
• Collaborate with delivery teams to identify and monitor efficiency plans across the project lifecycle
• Challenge team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery
• Ensure all team members understand contractual arrangements to meet client requirements
• Support clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks for successful outcomes
• Advise on contractual and commercial aspects to ensure robust project control
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with clear, ongoing communication
• Provide guidance and support to junior commercial staff

Key requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field (preferably)
• Experience and knowledge of NEC Contracts
• Practical mindset, strong math, problem-solving and project financial management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in client environments
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the regional operation
