In this Contracts Manager role, you will oversee multiple tunnelling and civil engineering projects from award to completion, ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery. You will work with the board and a cross-functional team to drive programme performance, quality, and commercial success. The position sits within a growing specialist contractor and offers hybrid working from Doncaster with the chance to impact AMP8 water and wider utility projects. You will mentor Project Managers and manage key client relationships, shaping outcomes across challenging tunnelling programmes.

Responsibilities
- Lead the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of multiple projects
- Drive programme performance, quality and operational excellence
- Manage client relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders
- Support and mentor Project Managers and site teams
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards
Key requirements
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within civil engineering, tunnelling or utilities
- Experience in shaft sinking, tunnelling, trenchless construction, water, gas, major infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Commercially aware with experience working under NEC contracts (desirable)
