Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design and delivery across sectors
  • Manage projects from tender to completion within programme, budget, and quality targets
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, BIM and sustainability teams
  • Act as main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors
  • Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications and design docs
  • Monitor profitability, programme, and resource allocation
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Graduate and Intermediate Engineers
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Support fee proposals and project planning
  • Attend client meetings and site visits across the UK

Key requirements

  • Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Membership of CIBSE or working towards Chartered Engineer status
  • Strong Building Services design experience in consultancy
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary projects
  • Proven project management and resource planning skills
  • Excellent client-facing and communication abilities
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing fees and budgets
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard engineering software
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
