Global Commodity Senior Buyer

Overview

In this role you will drive procurement value within Machining, Fabrications and Special Processes by executing category strategies and managing supplier performance. You will work across sites andGlobal Commodity Management to align with business needs, delivering cost savings and strengthened supply chains. You’ll operate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment to support growth and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to influence supplier governance and shape procurement across a global aerospace business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to maximise business value and deepen market insight
• Negotiate and contract with suppliers, monitor performance and contract compliance
• Analyze expenditure and market data to inform strategy development
• Capture requirements into RFx documents and drive pan-site sourcing activity
• Implement pan-Business Line contracts for site deployment
• Support bid activities for significant category needs
• Segment and manage suppliers, incentivise performance and establish supplier governance

Key requirements

• 5+ years in sourcing and procurement
• Knowledge of relevant procurement categories
• Proven record of delivering procurement savings on multi-million pound spend
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly commercial mindset with hands-on execution ability
