Overview
In this role you will shape Wise’s card issuance supply chain strategy and operating model for a global, multi-vendor network. You’ll own end-to-end vendor governance, delivery performance, and cost-to-serve while safeguarding customer experience. You will lead cross-functional programs to scale and improve card manufacturing, personalization, and delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role that drives resilience, transparency, and commercial outcomes at scale.
Responsibilities
- Define 1–3 year strategy for card manufacturing and delivery while balancing service levels, product experience, and cost-to-serve
- Design a scalable, global supply chain operating model (team structure, governance, escalation paths, metrics)
- Own the monitoring roadmap for early issue detection and clear ownership for resolution
- Lead and govern the partner portfolio (manufacturers and delivery partners) with accountability and risk management
- Build and use vendor governance tools: scorecards, escalations, remediation plans, root-cause actions with deadlines
- Represent Wise in senior partner forums and drive prioritization and outcomes
- Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations and contract strategy with robust SLAs, pricing models, and remedies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Customer Support to design scalable solutions
- Hire, coach, and develop the supply chain team, set standards, and raise performance
- Establish clear ownership, transparency, and execution standards with partners
- Deliver a 1–3 year supply chain strategy and annual plan with measurable targets
- Develop a resilient partner portfolio with regional coverage and tested transition playbooks
- Improve vendor performance through stronger SLA attainment, fewer delivery exceptions, and improved cost-to-serve
- Create executive dashboards for fast decision-making and accountability
Key requirements
- End-to-end supply chain strategy for card manufacturing, personalization, and secure card delivery operations
- Experience in card fulfillment and last-mile delivery, with postal network/courier management and delivery performance optimization
- Proven track record holding vendors (card bureaus, fulfillment houses, delivery carriers) accountable
- High-stakes commercial negotiation experience with manufacturing partners and logistics providers
- Deep capability in contract design: SLAs/KPIs, pricing, remedies, transparency, exit/transition planning
- Experience managing multi-vendor portfolios, carrier concentration risk, and resilience planning (BCP/contingency)
- Strong cross-functional leadership to optimize end-to-end customer card delivery
- People leadership: building and scaling teams, coaching, performance management
- Operational literacy in card manufacturing, fulfillment, and secure delivery optimization
