Overview

As a Project Manager with NEC experience, you will lead consultancy projects within our Infrastructure Performance Consultancy team, guiding contract strategy and governance to improve capital programmes while reducing cost and carbon. You will work closely with the Project Director and cross-functional teams to plan, procure, and report on project progress. The role combines advisory delivery with NEC contract management in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will contribute to a mission-driven firm that values sustainability and innovation in the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Project Director on contract strategy and approaches to achieve project goals
  • Lead development of overall project success criteria
  • Produce detailed project plan with Project Director support
  • Advise on procurement and management of sub-consultants; draft agreements
  • Establish project governance, processes, and systems for internal and sub-consultant resource
  • Manage change control process
  • Monitor finances and invoicing; support financial reporting
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports, risks, and programmes; assist commercial reporting
  • Coordinate transfer of project information between team and client
  • Challenge status quo; operate in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Participate in cross-trust activities including B Corp initiatives

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with NEC contracts, especially NEC3/4 PSC
  • Experience managing NEC4 for small/medium consultancy/advisory commissions
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Contractual experience in infrastructure sector and knowledge of commercial considerations
  • Experience managing contractual and commercial risk for consultancy/advisory commissions
  • Passion for improving infrastructure in the UK and beyond
