Contract Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee multiple fitout and interiors projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with clients, the commercial team, site management and subcontractors to manage programmes, budgets and delivery. This position offers ownership of projects within a respected Edinburgh contractor, supporting growth and quality finishes. A strong focus on risk management, quality and safety will shape your impact and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple fitout and interiors projects
• Overseeing programmes, budgets and project delivery
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining relationships with clients and consultants
• Monitoring quality, health and safety, and commercial performance
• Identifying and resolving potential project risks
• Supporting projects from planning through to final handover
• Ensuring work meets required standards and specifications

Key requirements

• Experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager
• Background in fitout, refurbishment, bespoke interiors or joinery
• Experience with SME-sized contractors
• Strong knowledge of full project-delivery process
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Keen eye for detail, finish and quality
• Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities
• Proactive and commercially aware approach
• Joinery background advantageous but not essential
