Civil Engineer – Utilities & Infrastructure

Overview

As part of Stantec’s Infrastructure team in London, you will help design and deliver sustainable land development projects with a focus on utilities, highways design and active travel. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to translate concepts into practical plans from concept through construction, while supporting accreditation and chartership. The role offers exposure to residential, regeneration and commercial schemes with a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare plans and drawings across the project lifecycle
• Support fee proposals and project bids
• Conduct QA checks to ensure high-quality design delivery
• Support feasibility studies, masterplanning and environmental assessments
• Liaise with utility providers, Local Authorities, clients and project stakeholders
• Attend site visits as required
• Support junior team members and contribute to team growth

Key requirements

• Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure sector
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidance
• Understanding of Designer responsibilities under CDM 2015
• Experience with Civil 3D, SuDS design or site-based engineering beneficial (but not essential)
