Overview
As a Planning Manager within a Plc developer, you will guide planning strategy from land bid through delivery on site. You will lead the planning function within a development team, shaping schemes to secure permissions and discharge conditions for infrastructure. You’ll provide expert advice on government policy and planning legislation to assess site prospects and manage large-scale developments. This role offers scope to lead from identification to implementation, within a growing portfolio and a collaborative, result-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning function from site identification to infrastructure delivery
- Create planning strategies and promote planning applications
- Discharge planning obligations and conditions; monitor progress
- Lead large-scale development projects and manage development control matters
- Line management and leadership within the planning team
- Provide expert knowledge on planning policy and legislation to assess site prospects
Key requirements
- Degree-level education with Town Planning knowledge
- MRTPI accreditation
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification private sector experience in residential development or planning consultancy
- Strong understanding of planning applications, planning obligations, and development control
- Experience managing large-scale development projects and infrastructure delivery
