Financial Director

Overview

In this Finance Director role, you will lead financial management across UK and international entities, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Group CFO. You will drive governance, reporting, forecasting and strategic financial support to enable growth across an international business. You’ll manage cross-border finance teams, influence strategic decisions with robust financial insight, and help shape the organization’s financial framework for scalable profitability. This opportunity combines hands-on leadership with high-level commercial partnering in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly financial reporting across multiple entities (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, consolidated group reporting)
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Provide executive-level insights to senior leadership and parent company stakeholders
• Lead international finance operations and multi-entity consolidation
• Oversee statutory and regulatory reporting, audits and tax compliance
• Manage banking relationships and external service providers
• Develop financial models, scenarios and forecasts to support strategic decisions
• Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls, and governance frameworks
• Lead and develop distributed finance teams across locations
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance against objectives
• Advise on pricing strategy, project profitability and business initiatives

Key requirements

• 8–10 years of senior finance leadership experience
• Experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance or Senior Financial Controller
• Experience managing international finance functions across multiple entities
• Track record in growth-stage or project-based businesses
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and boards
