Overview
In this role you will lead the Cable Management System coordination for the HS2 Track Infrastructure, integrating rail systems with civil works while supporting ballastless track design. You’ll work with design partners, construction teams and client reps to deliver compliant, buildable solutions that meet programme milestones. The position offers exposure to Europe’s flagship rail project and opportunities to grow into technical leadership. You will contribute to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate CMS design across the HS2 Track Infrastructure Contract and manage interfaces with permanent/temporary works, rail systems and civil disciplines
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and deliverables to ensure buildable solutions
- Manage design progress to align with programme requirements and support technical assurance through design, construction and handover
- Support ballastless track design management, interfaces between track, rail systems and civil infrastructure, and design optimisation
- Lead design reviews, engage with designers, suppliers, construction teams and client stakeholders
- Attend design and construction meetings, provide technical input and resolve track design issues
- Monitor track-related technical queries, NCRs, compensation events and other commercial matters
- Support safety, sustainability, efficiency and continuous improvement culture
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and coordinate multidisciplinary meetings to drive design outputs aligned with construction needs
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience working within the railway industry
- Experience on multidisciplinary railway infrastructure projects
- Understanding of railway systems integration and interface management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical interfaces across project teams
